This real stone water fall was built for a resedential swimming pool inside a lanai. It has a 6' long split stream and incorporates plant pockets that can hold live plants in plant buckets which can be changed out easily if desired along with additional areas where fake plants were utilized to soften the look while keeping it low maintenance.
Swim in your own pond, the bog system (not seen in this picture) is a great filtration system and the grande falls rolling over the bouldery stone create sight and sounds that wow the senses & relaxes the soul. Gives the phrase "Swim with the fishes" a whole new meaning.
8x11 Koi pond with 10' split stream was installed at the front entrance to create a little wow factor at this home and bring the homeowners out front more than out back. Large Racoon's did visit the pond nightly as it was being built as if to scope out the layout. But we built a standard fish cave plus HUGE fish cave right within the shelf naked to the untrained eye. The water was filled and the fish lived happily ever after.
We installed this small pondless waterfall along with the brick walk. The hammock in the shade was there but the water feature & new lanscaping made it the new destination for their backyard living space and it was quite the hot spot when the pavillion doubled as a bar for their son's wedding reception. This water feature water was built in lieu of renting a hall for the wedding.
Relax and enjoy as the water dances around the small boulder type falls before sneaking under and around the day dreaming frog.
The dirty work. Here is a picture Stan carving out a koi pond. We prefer our shelves to be built in such a way that you can safely access your pond but in a manner that will discourage the great blue heron that will be flying by this pond daily. The great Blue Heron fish out of the river right behind this house and we'd like to keep it that way. We build our ponds with the safety of the fish in mind. Every pond & yard is different and treated as such. A little more attention in the begining results in greater sucess in the finished product.
Meandering stream into Koi pond in Englewood FL. Yes most of these tropical plants make it through the winters in South West Florida. We did loose some of the water plants in 2010's several freezes then they reappeared when the weather warmed up. Nice! The Koi seem to weather the heat and cold quite well and have fish caves to keep them both warm or cool during our seasons.
Custom Pondless built into existing pool deck within a Screened in Lanai in Venice Fl. Water vase was prepared for water use & then drilled to install a bulkhead to enable the hook up of a professional grade pump just like we would use in our other Aquascape Installations. This pondless waterfeature cascades down a 10' long stream into a pooling area before hitting the underground storage basin and recirculating. These snowbirds love they're feature because they turn it off when they travel up North for the summer. HOAs? No problem, this project was done in a gated community with a Home Owners Association we have had great success working within the rules of HOAs in our area.
Aquascape Pond to Pondless Conversion. The pond owner wanted an even lower maintenace water feature so...We took a 14' stream that used to go into a pond & turned it into 25' Stream that cascades down a narrow hillside over a stone wall dropping several feet into a pondless water feature. This was Built in CT where we build in our off season with local CT feildstone, quite a different look than our typical FL waterfeatures.
